JNVST Exam 2025: The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas Entrance Exam 2025 will be released by the Navodaya Vidyalayas Samiti (NVS). The application form will be started on around 15 October 2024. The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) conducts the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) annually for admissions to Class 6 and Class 9 in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas in India. 

The admission test in the 6th class is conducted as expected in two phases, phase 1 and phase 2.  The phase 1 exam will be conducted in January 2025 and phase 2 will be conducted in last January. The JNV class 9 exam will be conducted after 15 February. 

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Class 6

The JNVST application form for admission 2024-25  to the 6th class started on 19, June 2023 to 31 August 2023.  The Phase 1 exam was conducted for certain states and districts on November 4, 2023. The Phase 2 exam occurred on January 20, 2024, for the remaining states and UTs. 

Students enrolled in the 5 class have the opportunity to take the JNVST Class 6 examination if they fulfill the necessary criteria like age, residency, etc. The admit cards for the JNVST were issued separately for the Phase 1 and Phase 2 exams in October and December 2023 respectively.

The JNVST Class 6 examination, which is conducted based on pen and paper, evaluates students in Mental Ability, Arithmetic, and Language skills. The results of the JNVST will be declared in March or April 2024 on the official website navodaya.gov.in. Successful candidates will be offered admission to one of the 649 Navodaya Vidyalayas situated across India.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Class 9

The JNVST application form for admission 2024-25  to the 9th class will be started in October 2024. Students who want admission in Jawahar Navodya Vidyalaya in class 9 can fill out the online application form from 1 October to 15 November 2024. 

The JNV class 9 entrance exam will be organized on 10 February 2025, across India. The admit card for JNVs admission test class 9 will be released in 3rd week of January,  around 19 January 2025. Candidates will able to download their JNVs class 9 admit card by using their application number and password. 

The JNVST class 9 admission test result expected will be released by NVS in 3rd week of March. Shortlisted students will admitted to class 9 in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya across the country for academic session 2025-26.  

To be eligible for admission to Class 9 through JNVST 2025, candidates need to have been born between May 1, 2011, and July 31, 2013. The selection test will evaluate candidates’ understanding and abilities in subjects such as English, Hindi, Mathematics, and Science, using multiple-choice questions of the objective type.

To be eligible for admission to Class 6 in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) in 2024, students need to fulfill the following criteria:

  • They must reside in the district where the JNV they are applying to is situated.
  • Their date of birth should fall between May 1, 2012, and July 31, 2014.
  • Currently, they should be studying in Class 5 at a recognized school within the same district.
  • If applying under the rural quota, they must have attended a recognized rural school from Class 3 to 5.
